that he sought donations of housewares, baby clothes, toiletries, etc., delivered to his store through the weekend. These would be taken to a center where refugees would stay after arriving from Afghanistan.

Within a few hours, more than 100 neighbors had replied to his thread, many of whom said they would be bringing items to him or asking for more specifics on what was needed. Some agreed to go to the center and help translate.

So many donations came in that he had to ask that no more of certain items be brought.

He was surprised and so grateful for the response.
