According to studies I've read about (whose findings have been replicated many times), most trumpist followers are very socially conservative and hostile toward women's equality. They have a strong tendency to fundamentalist religion, and most apparently did have authoritarian upbringings that stuck. These are the kind of people who'd keep showing up at their leaders' rallies even if he did leave them abandoned in the rain afterward.
The various militia types are very different in some ways, but most seem to share that strong social conservative hostility to women's equality and want to restore subjugation to men.
The viciously predatory form TX's latest antiabortion law takes reminded me of these findings and suggests that legislature's packed with these types, and almost certainly lead by even worse ones. I'm sure most of the worst would love to promise Pelosi they'd hang her if she showed up in their state.
