64. Yes. The Paucity of the DU Recs for threads like these is telling.

Nov 2021

If one looks on the Editorial Opinion pages of any major newspaper, it's easy to find someone trashing whatever decent bill comes forward. Sometimes, that trashing is done by a writer who pretends to be on the Democratic side, but it is trashing nevertheless.

But, you can count on any negative editorial to show up here very soon after it is published. There are some here who make a specialty of hunting for and posting just about anything that detracts from the real progress that is being made.

So, some people who make more money than most of us to will benefit from a measure in the BBB. Never mind the benefits in the bill for the rest of the population. Never mind that it contains measures that will markedly benefit the average wage-earner. There's this one thing, see? It's bad, I tell you...bad. So, you should work to kill the entire bill because it has that one thing in it that I don't like.

Fortunately, most DUers are smart enough to recognize what is going on and don't add recommendations to such posts.

So.... Dorian Gray Nov 2021 #1
