I kind of feel the same about Mel Gibson. A couple of his movies from the '80s, Gallipoli and The Year of Living Dangerously, are among my all-time favorites; and I feel kind of guilty for liking them, because Gibson turned out to be an anti-Semitic, misogynistic, religious fanatic asshole.
