23. Let's see if I got this right

Imagine that I was the sheriff of Fulton County, GA. I decided to do a series of "coffee with a cop" events, and hundreds of people came up to me and said, "Sheriff Jim, we have got to do something about Governor Taylor. She's crazier than a shithouse rat. We looked up the law and the Mental Health title of the Georgia Code very clearly states that any insane governor is to be immediately shoved into a sack with a live alligator and thrown into the Big Cypress Swamp. Now, when the hell are you going to get off your ass and do your duty?" I explain to them that I won't do it for two reasons: the Georgia Code doesn't really say that, and feeding Kandiss Taylor to an alligator would bring me up on animal cruelty charges.

So, what happens when my constituents call the Governor's Office and tell them to hang me for not doing the will of the people. "Well, what did the sheriff refuse to do?" "We demanded he feed Governor Taylor to an alligator and he flat out refused even though she's in desperate need of it."
