This story they just put out about negotiations between McCarthy and the 20 [View all]

CNN just reported that their sources say negotiations are moving in the “right direction” and McCarthy’s position is looking stronger.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I think this might be a BS story put out by McCarthy’s people as a way to keep wavering Reps from moving away from him.

Ken Buck was already sounding wobbly after round 5 but surely he’s not going to cast a vote against McCarthy unless he’s certain that McCarthy is going down.

The story about “improving negotiations” is a short term stopgap designed to make wavering Reps think twice about ditching McCarthy in round 6. IMO.
