(367 posts)19. Mostly the same except as a disabled veteran I have to be glad that Congress passed
and Trump signed The Mission Act in 2018. President Obama signed The Choice Act which was not good enough, but The Mission Act allows me to have 9 non-VA doctors and MRIs and C-scans for everything except my primary care doctor, psychiatrist, bloodwork, and vaccines at the VA clinic because they are only 13 miles away. If Congress would vote for an increase in VA healthcare that would allow the VA to hire 41,500 more doctors, nurses, and technicians they need then we wouldn't need The Mission Act, but that will never happen.
