106. No standing in line. We were at the head of the line at the business class counter.

Feb 2023

The agent said, wait a minute, left to "check something" after getting a phone call. Then he came back to us, and then his phone rang, and he "talked" for about 45 minutes, while the agents at the other two open counters were "busy taking care of other customers." It was pre-arranged theater. We weren't American's only victims that day. There was a woman from Bosnia trying to get home to visit her dying father, and she was booked with American via Frankfurt, too. She was in tears, crying after being denied check-in, treated like trash. They told her there was "nothing they could do for her." Heartless bastards. I was finally beginning to understand why some people become terrorists.

I don't know how many gazillion miles I fly, but however many it has been, I will do my utmost to make sure it will never again be on American domestic, and I absolutely will never fly them again internationally.

As for what you've never experienced, well neither have we--EXCEPT with American, which is why we will never fly with them again.
