5. Musk knows so little about Twitter that he didn't realize Halli is on a "do not fire" list

When Halli sold his company to Twitter, he chose to take payment as a salary rather than stocks or a lump sum. The terms of the contract mean that if he's fired, the balance of the sale sum (if not more) becomes payable, amounting to millions of dollars.

Three other vested founders were also summarily fired and locked out of their Twitter email systems. It remains to be seen if they'll also be offered reinstatement, and if so, whether they or Halli will accept it.

This is aside from the fact that Musk's Twitter interaction with Halli contravened various employment laws.
