and there is something about choirs echoing in these cavernous cathedrals. On that score, even the non-religious would come to Notre Dame in Paris before the fire to hear that, myself included.

For me, it is not about Charles or the royal combatants of late or Royalty in general, and certainly not for the religious nature of the ceremony. But, as a history buff, that so much of this dates back to 1066 and the time of William the Conquerer, I can't help but be curious. The whole system may be eliminated in the not-distant future. But, it is part of history until then. But, for those who chose not to, more power to you.
