15. Ultra-endurance

50-miler, 100-miler, off road ultra marathons, etc. A marathon isn't really ultra-distance - I've done them, so I know. The balance of women's endurance doesn't kick in as much at 26 miles, but times are getting closer and closer even there. This has also been the case in ultra-endurance bike races (which I've also done). Now I'm just a duffer, but I still beat a large number of the men's field in those.

The point I'm making is that in the 1970s women were barred from endurance until we broke through the ceiling, and since then times have been dropping.

We're looking at the future here, not the past, and I'm looking at trends.
