5. I've lost count.

I've lost count of how many people who never much cared to discuss politics before will say something along the lines of voting Republican in the past but never again. They say they are determined to vote a straight Democratic ticket in every race ... to send a message. Some of them volunteer that they voted for the defendant the first time but not the 2nd.

Anecdotal, but it's what I see in this little place of America. Whether or not they stand by it in the voting booth is another . I've been watching the last several votes and will say the margin the GOP has won by is shrinking in my precinct.
