48. Fast food is OK - occasionally when you're in a rush.

I tend to cook in > 80% of the time. I can buy a pound of good quality beef for anywhere from $6 - 9 dollars/lb., but I tend to shop
for meat sales and picked up 2 lbs of bison meat this morning for $5 lb. At $5 lb, that's $1.25 per patty for 4 patties. For sides, I do
grilled vegetables (onions, bell peppers, carrots). I estimate it at most $3 per plate. Sun tea for the beverage. I feel shitty spending
$10 or more for a burger combo meal - which I occasionally do - but damn, what a waste. About the only thing I am forced to purchase
is fried chicken - which I'm a sucker for. My grandmother made great fried chicken but that is a particular talent I don't have.
