(107,184 posts)based on an acronym, that they, themselves created only serves to underscore their claims of our weakness. Sadly, they ARE the ignorant bullies on the playground who are never stopped with acquiescence, abeyance, and appeasement. Nor will we get the support of independents if we fail to FIGHT for all that puts democracy at risk. Showing we are terrified of even the mildest use of highly earned countering language is hardly the way to show that. For years we have been terrified via our media to call out LIES for what they are. Now we are afraid of an acronym that they created themselves and which happens to have a less positive homophone equivalent? Good gawd...
Focus on what is genuinely important. And that is not some term that hurts the feelings of those who want to kill democracy and quite literally to create policies that WILL kill people like myself and others on DU.
