11. What a slick move on Zelensky's part

He showed deference to a useless fart who didn't deserve it, but loves the publicity and the "honor" of being addressed by the Ukrainian president. Johnson will want to puff up his importance for a while ("the president of the Ukraine called ME personally! wowee zowee!" ). But of course, he can't do that and claim at the same time, he intends to do nothing. That would make him look like an even greater asshole than any of us suspected he might be (well, you never know--he COULD be).

Zelensky boxed Johnson into a corner. "Help me out or look like a total asshole to even your own constituents, and risk overthrow as Speaker even faster that it might already happen. The spotlight is on you, and everyone is expecting you to do the right thing."

Very slick move, I'd say.
