Received a generous tip, based on performance and a percentage of my tips. By doing that my tables were cleared and set up for new customers faster than fellow servers. Those that didn't respect and acknowledge the importance of their bussers made less money. This also applied to the cooks and diswashers.

If you are going to add a 18% service charge, why not just raise menu prices 18% and eliminate all tipping ?
