I've been there with ailing, aging parents when our roles reverse in a family, no longer the adult child but the caregiver and main decider in a parent's life. It's hard, exhausting and I know from my own my experience, you're often second guessing what's the right thing to do.

We do it out of love and concern but it makes the role no easier.

Hang in there. Your mom sounds like a reasonable woman. I'm sure she knows you've done everything you could and that your main concern is her well-being.

Keep the faith.
