(5,116 posts)I got invited to a reception for Bill Clinton at the Old State House in Little Rock when he was running the first time and was governor of Arkansas. I guess I could say I've met four, since Hillary was also there, though it would be a long time before she ran. When I was teaching high school in Texas, our school's eighth grade Texas History class did a two day field trip to Austin every year and I volunteered to help as a chaperone one year. We met then governor George W. Bush, who made a habit of visiting with eighth graders visiting Austin. When Obama was campaigning for his first term, a friend of mine who had M.S. and some mobility problems got passes to a reception prior to one of his big fund raising events at a large black church in Houston, and asked me to accompany him and help him navigate. We were almost first in line to shake hands.
