Pete is spectacular. [View all]

He's my choice for VP. Of course, I will accept whomever Kamala chooses, but Pete hits it out of the ballpark. How many times have we heard, "He's brilliant, he's smart, he's articulate, he's clever, he's what we want," but we can't have him because he's gay." Well, we can have him. Those arguments that basically say, He's perfect for the job, but...just emphasize that we shoot ourselves in the foot time and again. We can have the best.

Pete is young and handsome, smart, etc. and he will look good to the younger voters. He would be successful backing up Kamala, as he knows how to do that. During his stint as Secretary of Transportation, he has behaved appropriately, yet he's no wimp. He gives great interviews, doesn't falter, and yet says what he wants. Between Kamala and Pete, we could cover all the swing states again.

I don't know too much about the Dem Governor crowd, but I did see Tim Walz speaking in an interview. I'm just going to grit my teeth and say this. He sounded fine etc., but he looked old, and more disconcerting, he looked like he could displace Kamala. His job would be to back Kamala up. I wouldn't want to see him supplant Harris. I haven't said this very well, but I hope you understand why I said it. We are not looking for a Presidential candidate. We are 100% in with Harris. We have to be, although I am confident that she will excel at the job.

I believe we are going to be at war. I prefer Pete's energy, his direction, and his ability to handle any discussion without coercion, something I believe he will do. Rather than stick him in a high cabinet position, I'd rather have him at the ready to help Kamala. He will make the most of it, like he has the job of Secretary of Transportation. I believe those two people would be the best to lead the country. We are still in for tough times. I am more comfortable with Pete's military background and his experience in Military Intelligence.

I get why people want a candidate that can perhaps "deliver a swing state," but that is not guaranteed. I feel panic when I think that Trump might win, but he is slipping in the polls right now, and we don't even have another VP candidate picked.

Here is a link to an article on Pete's background:
