28. I'm still hoping NE-1 sees the light.

The major city in NE-1 is Lincoln, the state capital and home to the state's flagship university. Lincoln/Lancaster County votes blue (and voted for Biden 52-48 over Trump in 2022), but with only 350,000 residents, it represents only about 50 percent of the district's overall population. The rest of the district includes counties such as Cuming County, which voted 78-22 in favor of Trump. That's hard to overcome.

I expect the Democratic margin of victory to increase in Lincoln/Lancaster County, but here's the rub: Cuming County is home to West Point, Tim Walz's hometown. It would be a major coup, but NE-1 might be tighter than expected this year.

Nebraskans love a native son, and they love football coaches.

NE-3 will still overwhelmingly vote for the Lard of Mierda Loco, however, making the state as unreachable as Iowa, but not as bad as Oklahoma, Wyoming and West Virginia.

Wishful thinking on my part, for sure, but you never know.
