Born in 1888 in rural Alabama, lived until 1978. He had seen some things, but man did he have an attitude about race. Ive never understood it, but I didnt walk in his shoes.

Back to your second paragraph. Clothes.. hung outdoors. And in spring and fall, there was a fresh smell to the clothes
