I wonder how many Republicans are thinking about that right now. They should be. So many of them have been counting on the MAGA base to keep them from losing their phony baloney jobs, that they've forgotten how to do anything else.
Trump is failing. Quickly. His latest idiocy with Elon Musk is ample evidence of it. He's not out on the campaign trail, because nobody shows up for him. He's incapable of making a coherent campaign speech. He is falling apart.
I have to think that the few Republicans who have retained some intelligence through all this are panicking right now. It's becoming clearer and clearer that they're following the wrong person. But what will they do? Will they disavow their allegiance to Trump? Probably not. That would be political suicide. But, hanging on to him and hoping he'll take them back to their offices could also be suicidal, at least in some states and districts.
It's a dilemma, isn't it, boys and girls? What will you do? What WILL you do?
