How about anyone with a felony conviction should be subject to warrantless searches 24/7, so law enforcement can find out if they are breaking any laws ? Maybe bring back "3 strikes and you're out" laws ?

Routh, as a felon, was prohibited from possessing a gun. Somehow, he got one anyway (with the serial number removed, no less), thus violating existing laws. How would that be prevented, other than the scenario above ?
