I Think We Waited Way Too Long to Fix Climate Change [View all]

That's what I think. We still need to do whatever we can as a society to slow down the disaster, but the last few years seem to have demonstrated that we've tipped over an edge.

On an individual basis, I think each of us is going to have to evaluate the local situation and make a decision of whether to stay or go somewhere else. I believe it has now come to that.

You can only rebuild so many times after natural disasters. Florida appears to have reached that point of no return. Other states also seem to be experiencing conditions that are steadily worsening.

Everywhere is affected, thought. We have weird off and on droughts here in Minnesota. My old home state, California and its surrounding states are deep into a heat wave cycle that is going to be a huge challenge if it continues.

Time to re-evaluate, folks. Take a good look (after voting in November) and see what you think you'll be looking forward to over the next decade. Are things going to be manageable? Might insurance not be available to you? Take a good look. You might need to make a change of direction.
