13. Hurricanes are the most unpredictable things, 10 miles can be an enormous diffference in outcomes.

This one didn't pack near the impact of Helene in NE FL. With Milton, the wind was more consistent, but didn't have the huge gusts that Helene did on the east coast. Milton = 40mph, Helene = gusts of 70+ mph and both had tons of tornados. We think a tornado hit our old street because 3 trees came down between our neighbors and our ex-house and there were numerous other trees in the neighborhood that came down or partially down. This time there's more general debris, but no downed trees so think the tornados spared us.

I looked at a map of power outages, and the county to the west of Tampa had 100% power outages and the Tampa/Sarasota areas had over 80%.
