Many years ago in MAD MAGAZINE, there was a satire of a comic strip which has since disappeared. For you youthful folk, Mandrake the Magician was a master magician and hypnotist who defeated villains of all varieties, even aliens of the interplanetary variety.

He was the master of illusion as the American Right Wing has attempted to be presently. He could create a reality for a group or individual. For years I have quoted the strip from MAD inasmuch as the truth of reality must eventually be reckoned with. The time for reckoning is coming. And right soon.
