(12,044 posts)58. No, it's a Kenmore. I think it's about 10 years old,
but the most ice maker has been acting up for a year or two. The repair guy says the opening and closing door rubs on the wiring for the ice maker. That causes intermittent problems, and eventually it wears through, and the ice maker dies totally.

Try this as an alternative. Our refrigerator ice maker quit. So we bought bags. A pain! We move to this.
