It should make your blood boil to hear people pretend Democrats should be able to control or prevent what Trump is doing

...it always has the feel of a setup, to me.

All the while I'm fighting my heart out for Joe Biden, then Kamala Harris, the drag on those efforts - much of it coming, ostensibly, from inside of our own party - was insidious, and in the end, withering and overpowering.

Democratic voters failed to show up in the margins they elected Joe Biden with, and now it seems that so many believe it's fine to trash the Democrats we managed to elect for not using the next-to-nothing we provided them with to stop republicans from voting like resurrected fascist zombies as they work to tear down the nation and deliberately harm Americans.

They have the elevation of their offices to speak to us, to inform us about what republicans are doing, and what they are doing, and to mobilize us. But when they do, and they do this almost daily, certainly collectively so - they get taunted for not doing more than talk.

Do folks really know what our Dem legislators main task is right now?

Showing up in the committees where the republican majority in the House is carving up the benefits Americans rely on to pass a 4 trillion dollar-plus tax giveaway (no strings, no work requirements or drug tests) with the vast bulk of the money going straight into the pockets of several dozen of the richest people in the nation.

Showing up and voting against each and every one of them before they come to the floor for a full House vote.

And talking. Talking about us. Democrats are the only ones in those conference rooms right now who are speaking out on behalf of American workers, American families, American prerogatives which republicans are hellbent on stealing right off our plates and out of our nation's children's mouths.

THAT"S what Democrats are doing right now, when they're not out listening to and talking to the people. Not just the performative stuff to get YOUR attention to call republican offices, and do more than just demand what you expect from the party out of power.

Democrats are doing the jobs we sent them there for, despite not having the tools to do much more than squat to change republican votes for their cult leader's anti-American rout.

IF we are ever to pull the nation and ourselves out from under this fascist regime's repressive takeover of American government, we will need to ELECT MORE DEMOCRATS. It's just that simple and direct.

If we fail to regain the majority of both or, at least, one of the bodies of Congress, we will be virtually unable to stop much of anything they are doing.

IF WE FAIL TO ELECT MORE DEMOCRATS WE WON'T BE ABLE TO STOP TRUMP OR HIS REPUBLICANS.

We need to support Democrats. We just do.

Anyone doing anything other than supporting Democrats is threatening to keep us bogged down fighting this travesty indefinitely. It literally makes my skin crawl when I see it coming from our own party.

Support Democrats, don't drag on the party. Elevate what our elected Democrats are saying/doing, and share it out. That's what I believe most of us are doing here.
