3. Define "survive."

The physical territory will still be here, of course (unless Trump manages to get us nuked). By "survive" do you mean a functioning democracy? And what is meant by that? Elections that actually represent the will of the majority? They're already trying to kill that by redistricting wherever possible. Judges who follow the law? There are still plenty of those, but SCOTUS is iffy, at best, and could get even worse if some justices retire and Trump replaces them with stooges like Ho or Kacsmaryk. A Congress that finds a spine? Unless something changes I'm not hopeful that we will be a true democracy - it won't be North Korea but more like Hungary, a simulacrum of a democracy but not the real thing. But if Trump dies (please, God, are you listening?), the cult will not automatically attach itself to Vance, and there will be a power struggle within the GOP. This might give the Democrats a fighting chance to start a recovery.
