I recall when Ben & Jerry's was taken over, Unilever was regarded as a fairly progressive in its environmentally friendly packaging, ingredients, and sourcing. Unilever was the parent since the 1920s of the former Lever Bros. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lever_Brothers
