(7,960 posts)94. I'm a fan of the good old fashioned Louisville Slugger for home defense
That and a golf club are sitting near my front door. I also have a Japanese sword my dad brought home from World War II. It's not very sharp but it's heavy and could do somoe damage. I suppose I could sharpen it but really it's greatest value is in intimidation.

I'm going with alluminum standard bat, however, hockey sticks are quite handy tools.
