I learned a new word today - "semiquincentennial" [View all]

It's the term for our 250th anniversary in 2026.

Centennial - 100th anniversary
Sesquicentennial - 150th anniversary
Bicentennial - 200th anniversary
Semiquincentennial - 250th anniversary

Another word that's not as common would be "Sestercentennial"

Will any of us be around for the "Tricentennial"? Some of you young'ens might, but I'll be long gone by then.
