There once was a world sans AI,
and standards were set truly high.
To write from the heart,
and do your own art,
and not let your talent just die.

For muscles not used turn to mush,
and no one needs chatbots to rush
what they want to say.
Thought requires delay.
AI gives you slop you should flush.

The problem is asking a bot.
Ideas are easily caught,
You make them your own.
Your own skills you hone.
It's easy. Just give it a shot!

Still hoping you'll write limericks yourself instead of using AI...

I have an English teacher in the family and have had lots of English-teacher friends. I think writing should be encouraged. It's too important an ability to turn over to a bot. What a bot produces from datasets of other people's stolen work can never be yours.
