4. Closing any of those airports would hurt SOME business a lot

For instance, he's talking about closing airports in Hawaii. There are lots of hotels on the islands served by the airports Trump wants to shutter that would themselves close if there was no air service to the islands.

He also has Colorado Springs on his list. That would be a huge problem for the Department of the Air Force - there are three Space Force Stations and the Air Force Academy there, and all four of them use that airport to transit personnel in and out of the area.
