She was talking mostly nonsense, but because she wasn't screaming, it didn't seem "as Republican".

This is a big problem we have. After 30 years of science denial (basically, ever since we agreed on the ozone hole), the Republicans have conditioned the public to get riled up over things that are completely nonsensical.
