he wasn’t sexting underage women or unsolicited stalking. I care no more about his personal relationship with his wife as long as he isn’t an abuser. I didn’t care about Bill and Hillary’s personal relationship either. And I dont give a fuck about JFK or FDR or any other politician’s marital relationships that don’t encompass dangerous or illegal acts.

What bothers me the most about this whole thing and causes my suspicions to rise is the eagerness of the media to slog through this, trotting out Democratic consultants to bring up every negative detail and discuss Platner being a dangerous pick and how there’s still time to write in Janet Mills yada yada yada. Much too much coordination for this cynic to not believe this smacks more of a Democrat strategy than anything coming from the Collins camp. Add to that - Corey Booker and Hakeem Jeffries and their “concerns” and once again the Democrats choose to discuss another Democrat who could quite possibly have won another Senate seat for Democrats rather than turn their attention to the dangers of a Republican like Susan Collins who only strengthens Trumps stranglehold on getting anything done that benefits people’s lives. Not one of us is affected by what Platner and his wife have gotten through. But Susan Collins - she affects my life much more.
