The result of quite a bit of research, and multiple interviews with a variety of sources, over a period of time.
It comes across as being about as even handed as is possible (given potentially troubling content) - without going in the other direction to 'finesse' ...

Platner himself has acknowledged 'significant problems' regarding his past - asking only that he be judged by the 'new and better' version of himself. How 'far' in the past - and how 'new' the new version is ... And to what degree we believe ... Remains the crux. And, as always, it remains up to the voters in making that judgement.

But, again ... This is solid boilerplate reporting. And does NOT come off as a hit piece on Platner.
