He's apparently been sucking at the government tit for his entire miserable existence (his parents were both career military) and as far as I am aware has never shown even an iota of "enterpreneurial will and spirit".

In fact his Army career was somewhat checkered, he resigned his commission after being fined for improper interrogation of an Iraqi prisoner. He retired as a Lt colonel (O5), an unimpressive level of achievement for a 20 year officer.
