The Eleusinian Mysteries were a communal trip, based on a non-poisonous ergot alkaloid.
Soma as the Aryans understood it was a psychotropic mushroom extract.

And now Jesus used cannabis.

All very cool, yes, but ultimately unfalsifiable.
