(2,145 posts)206. My Dad is 84....he got his mother to sign...
the papers so he could join the Army when he was 17. He joined right at the end of the war in Europe. He was sent to Europe and served with the military government in Italy for 2 years. Then he was sent back to the US and served in the military district of DC and the Pentagon in the military police after the war.
