It's not blocking anything. Tor is good for that though. I use Ghostery to stop trackers. Though I'm not sure how well it would work against NSA queries.

For instance, according to Ghostery, Google Analytics and Google AdSense are trying to track my movements on DU. I use AdBan and AdBlock, so no worries about accidentally clicking a link that might take me somewhere that I don't want to be associated with.

How much that thwarts Nosy NSA Parkers, I have no idea. But it can't hurt.
