Democratic Underground may be a contentious place at the moment, but thank goodness there are some common truths which still bring us together after all these years. For example, I think we can all agree that no matter which side of the Snowden vs. Obama debate you come down on, you're a right-wing ratfucking paid-to-post shill. Amirite?!?!

Anyway, if you've been spending a little too much time scrapping with your fellow progressives in the DU bubble lately it may have slipped your mind that there are real right-wing assholes out there who wish for nothing more than to see us all crucified and burned at the stake simultaneously. (Which I've got to admit would make for a pretty sweet heavy metal album cover).

Why was my account suspended.
I've made only a hand full of recent posts but have been a member for a number of years. I am a liberal I vote democrat, I however don't always agree with whatever the current stance is on any given issue. I have my own mind. I support the 2nd amendment and don't blindly support causes or foreign nations just because their is pressure to do so.

I recently posted in a thread about Zionism and anti-semitism.

My view is not a popular one, but it is based on critical thought and history. The Israelites the Hebrews and the Semitic people were not Jewish. That's not to say that many Jews are not descendants of them. Antisemitism is not anti-jew, anti-zionist is not anti-jew. The original poster was labeling everyone who is anti-zionist as an anti-semite in order to deflect criticism ofZionism. They were labeling others unjustly as bigots, when they them self were displaying bigotry.

If you want an echo chamber at DU, fine so be it. If you want to be inclusive of all liberals who value critical thinking over emotion then give me back my account

I was not trying to blast anyone - just throwing out my concerns about
our economy, about our kids. Socialism does not work; it takes the
