(15,359 posts)three people injured. Two not bad but bleeding a little and a woman in the passenger front seat with an injured back and neck. I turned off the motor and my buddy grabbed his fire extinguisher and stood guard just in case. We smelled gas but didn't see any obvious leak.
I was telling the lady still in the car to just stay still and assured her the car wasn't going to blow up like on tv. If we did have a fire start I'd help her out and she would be okay.
The cops got there and took charge and I being the mastermind told my buddy, lets just take off. Then if they come looking for us, we can play the reluctant heroes! Much better than sticking around and taking bows right? That was the way my mind worked back then. Well we did and they didn't. There was a mention of two guys helping in the blurb in the paper but no real glory.
