3. I keep thinking that on 9/11, there were over 5,000 flights that DIDN'T get hijacked.

I traveled by plane during the 1991 Gulf War (it broke out while I was in Japan with a group of students) and a couple of months after 9/11.

In both cases, the planes were blissfully uncrowded and relaxing.

I decided that a terrorism scare was a great time to travel by plane because all the scaredy cats stay at home.
