Which will leave the field open. The last time where was an open field was 2008 and many of those candidates are too old, too ruined, or too crazy (in the case of Edwards/Gravel/Kuchinich).

Here's a recap of where the 2008 candidates are:

Barack Obama-Term limited
Hillary Clinton-?
John Edwards-Toast after joining the "I can't keep it in my pants" club
Joe Biden-?
Chris Dodd-Retired
Mike Gravel-Belongs in a straight jacket
Dennis Kucinich-Belongs in a straight jacket
Bill Richardson-Unlikely to run

If so, that pretty much means a new list of new names.
