Old money can afford to be generous when they want to be. They used the Republicans while they could. Now they'll use someone else to secure their family fortunes.

The Tea Party is already losing a little support amongst blue collar whites. At least in my neck of the woods - reddest of red - they'll still go Republican sure, but the Tea Party folks voted in here are now in big trouble...... The Tea Party starved of money by the old money guard until it dies off as a movement with any say at all in politics can only be a good thing. Then maybe the "Eisenhower Republicans" can come back to power and stick to keeping poor people poor. Sad that would be an improvement.
