Thank you. They think we are all right wing Republicans who are obsessed with the Civil War.
I'll never forget when I met one of my bandmates' (ex-bandmate) mother in upstate NY. I met her and after the nice to meet you comments, the very first thing out of her mouth was "Why do you southerners always obsess about the Civil War so much?" I answered: "Did I say anything about the Civil War? You were the one who brought it up just now, not me. Why did you bring up the Civil War? I'm here to record some punk rock music with your son's great band." She laughed and then we got along fine after she realized I wasn't going to give or take any shit.
People who don't know us, REALLY don't know us. Those who do get to know us, know better.
