They have a standard poodle and a striped cat. On warm days, I have seen the cat and dog snoozing together on the porch. I have also seen the poodle chase the cat. And if another dog chases the cat, the poodle will chase the dog away. The dog's attitude seems to be, "That is MY cat. I am allowed the chase the cat, and I ALONE. If you chase the cat, I will chase you."

Cats are independent. I would think you'd respect that. And dogs eat poop. nm
