28. The popcorn emojis bother me

Instead of being an ally and speaking up, some people seem to think it's entertaining. "Oooh, the gays are gonna get pissed! This is going to be great!"

Yeah. Glad we amuse you. It's honestly why I wake up in the morning. "What homophobia can I react to today so a straight person is entertained?"

Or they could, you know, say something. A simple, "Please don't do that. LGBT people here have said they don't like it. Thanks."

I've stayed out of those threads. Too much effort. The whole, "My friend, son, third-cousin-but-only-on-Wednesdays, etc. said it's ok, so it's ok!" has to be my least favorite. My partner is Filipino and best friend black. Lemme go ask them permission to use anti Asian and Black slurs. I'll then come back here and start dropping them. Hey, they said it's ok!

Somehow don't think the reactions will be the same.
