Olbermann's attorneys were in negotiations with MSNBC for months before he left for him to get out of his contract. He had already been offered the spot at Current. He thought when Comcast entered into the ownership mix with NBC, he would be muzzled. That is why he wanted to leave. So many times as things have unraveled at MSNBC, I think about his thinking that and how right he was to want out. This is exactly the type of maneuver COMCAST pulls, and bottom line, they probably are thinking about how much they will save by substituting someone else at about one-third or less of what they were paying Bashir.

I really have enjoyed his show. That remark he made was a little over the top, but he is human and should have been allowed to take some time off and perhaps pay a fine. The quality of his delivery as a commentator is unmatched at MSNBC, and this is going to cost them in terms of viewership.

I used to have MSNBC playing non-stop at my house and have narrowed it down to only an hour or so. I think I am just going to boycott them altogether.
